Korean Folk Art featured in this product are:
1. Dancheong
- Dancheong is the traditional design that decorated important buildings, such as temples, palaces and academies. Dancheong is usually painted in five colors, red, blue, yellow, black and white, to symbolize five elements and preventing bad luck through achieving balance between the elements.
2. Morando
- Painting of peony blossoms. Peony blossoms were thought to be the 'king of all flowers' due to its size and beauty since three kingdoms period, therefore paintings of peony blossoms were exclusive to royals for long periods of time in Korean history. Nowadays Peony blossoms decorate people's houses as the symbol of wealth, prosperity, and authority.
3. Ubyonsungryongdo

4. Yeonhwado

6. Ilwolobongdo

7. Hwajeopdo
- painting of flowers and butterfly. Hwajeopdo often decorated women's rooms as symbol of harmony, prosperity, and longevity.
8. Hyodo
- Painting of an owl. Owls were believed to have a habit of hoarding their prey, and stay awake at night to prevent it from being lost or stolen. Therefore, Hyodo usually decorated people's storage doors in hopes of bringing wealth. Furthermore, Owls were also thought to be the symbol of longevity for having cat-like appearance. Instructions & cautions
1. Color in the blank section with fabric paint or fabric marker.
2. When painting adjacent section, paint it after the previous section is dried.
- This prevents colors from bleeding into each other.
3. Takes 20~50 minutes to complete, depending on user's age and intricacy of the pattern.
3. After the paint is completely dried, place a sheet of paper over the work and iron it with highest setting.
- This enables the finished work to be washable without fading colors.
4. It is recommended to hand-wash the finished work with neutral detergent, separated from other laundry.
