◎ Make-up
1) Add approximately 2/3 of water to a clean sub-tank and heat up to 60℃.
2) Add a standard amount of nickel sulfate, nickel chloride and boric acid and
dissolve them.
3) Stir strongly and adjust pH to about 5.2 by adding nickel carbonate or
10%-sodium carbonate solution.
4) Heat the plating solution up to 60℃.
5) Add 5g/L of activated carbon and mix with air agitation for 4 hours and leave it
overnight.
6) The plating solution is transferred to the main tank through the filter.
7) Wash filter and continue filtration.
8) Conduct weak electrolysis (0.1-0.5A/dm2) using a net or corrugated negative
electrode for about 12-16 hours until the dark color at the low current density
part disappears.
9) Adjust pH to 4.8 with dilute sulfuric acid.
10) Add Ni-Carrier 12mL/L, WA-129 1mL/L, and 0.3mL/L of GL-9000 Booster and add more
slightly until desired gloss and leveling are realized.
